Frequently asked

Straight answers, no jargon

How is earthwork billed?

By measured volume (cubic metres) or by machine hour, agreed before mobilisation. Daily logs are shared either way.

Do you handle debris disposal?

Yes, to authorised dumping points. Disposal distance affects the rate, so we state it in the quote.

Can you work on sloped or rocky sites?

Yes. Rock breaking is quoted separately because equipment and time differ substantially from soil.

Will you compact the fill properly?

Fill is placed and compacted in layers rather than dumped, and we can arrange density testing on request.

Do you also do soil testing?

Yes — see our soil testing service. It's worth doing before foundation design, not after.

How soon can machinery mobilise?

Usually within 3–7 days of confirmation, subject to access and the season.
